Who We Are

  • THE BRANFORD EDUCATION FOUNDATION

was founded in 2004 with a mission to foster excellence in public education by funding programs that enhance the capabilities of all of Branford’s public schools. Inspired by the potential for excellence in our students and teachers, the Foundation raises private dollars for programs that would normally not be funded by the Board of Education’s budget. Guided by a directive to supplement – not supplant – the present system of funding public education, we seek support for programs that the Superintendent of Schools has approved, and for which we believe donor support is available.

  • The Foundation is a nonprofit, non-partisan organization.

  • The work of the Foundation is dedicated to serving all six of Branford’s public schools, including:

Indian Neck School— Early Years Program
    Mary T. Murphy Elementary School
    John B. Sliney Elementary School
    Mary R. Tisko Elementary School
    Walsh Intermediate School
    Branford High School

Gifts to the Branford Education Foundation will support excellence in every subject, every discipline, every school, and every grade. As a completely voluntary organization, the foundation ensures that 100 percent of all donations are directed to the schools.
